Co-Curriculum - Theatre Tech Team

The aim of the Hunter Theatre training crew is to develop students' understanding of the technical activities required to operate the Hunter Theatre and other related theatre sites.

Students participate in an initial training program that introduces Basic Staging, Lighting and Audio, along with the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety. The programs are administrated by the Hunter Theatre Manager and teaching staff with industry recognised qualifications.

 

 

The program is organised on a volunteer basis that may lead to paid activity, enabling students to participate in a wide range of theatre work within the school or at other organised theatre sites.

Mentoring is an important aspect of the training program and qualities such as the ability to work individually and as part of a team and highly encouraged.
