Faculties - HSIE

The Key Learning Area of Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) involves the study of people, culture, societies and environments in different places and different times. As teachers of HSIE, we strive to develop in all students a commitment to: excellence; a development of key competenices; informed and active citizenship; a just society; lifelong learning and: to an appreciation of the natural and cultural environment.
  • Years 7-10: mandatory History and Geography courses; International Studies (elective)
  • Yr 11-12: Aboriginal Studies, Ancient History, Modern History, Society and Culture, Studies of Religion (1 unit or 2 unit), Business Studies, Economics, Geography, Legal Studies, Extension History
