The Aim of Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) is to:

  • develop confidences and competence in the use of technological resources and processes
  • design and realise solutions to identified human needs
  • develop respect for quality design and craftsmanship
  • develop transferable skills

Courses

  • Years 7-8:Technology (Mandatory) - all students
  • Year 8: Electronics Technology, Costume Hair and Makeup (electives)
  • Years 9-10: Textiles Technology, Industrial Technology-Timber, Food Technology, Costume Makeup and Hair Design, Child Studies, Design and Technology-Theatre, Creative Industries-Theatre, Electronics Technology
  • Years 11-12: Industrial Technology (IT)—Timber Products & Furniture, Food Technology, Textiles and Design, Entertainment Industry Training—components (VET), Hospitality (VET)
